AEM Cultures and Circular Economy Resource Roundups

A “cool” morning greeting to the educator community!  The holiday break is nearly upon us and I know everyone is ready for a much-deserved (and needed) time to celebrate with family and friends, rest, and rejuvenate.  The team at AEM is busy working on educator and student engagement opportunities for 2025.  As we move into the New Year, be on the lookout for new Leading Light meet-ups, Discovery Day Workshops, and our summer Key Largo Innovation Retreat!  We have been working with OCPS to make these experiences even more meaningful for teachers in this area and we are more than happy to reach out to other school districts as well!  Just let us know how we can help you!  This includes the location of various resources that may be needed, hands-on experiences, virtual or in-person field trips, and more.

This week I am releasing two topics for the Resource Roundup!  The first focuses on how global cultures and traditions have, and do, shape the world around us.  Understanding cultures not only promotes global appreciation for our unique differences, but it also helps to shape how daily life, products, and services adapt to cultural aspects.  Learn about the 5 components of culture, uncover how science and culture are connected, engage with understanding cultures through the arts, and more!  The second highlighted topic focuses on creating and promoting a circular economy as a way to help the global population and all life on Earth adapt to an ever-changing world in a more conservative approach.

Discover how the life cycle of a product impacts the everyday.  Explore the vast resources offered by the Ellen MacArthur Foundation.  Challenge students to a program that focuses on developing solutions to issues in a way that makes a product life cycle more sustainable, and more engaging resources that can help students better understand the circular flow of economic activity.
