warm hello to you all on this chilly morning!  We hope you are keeping warm!  Florida manatee have been striving to keep warm by visiting local springs, such as Blue Springs State park, where they have been consistently notating over 300 manatees daily.  If you would like to learn more about these gentle giants, we would love for you to attend our Manatee Discovery Day workshop at Blue Springs State Park on March 2, 2025!  Registration is now open and space is limited.  Learn about how they collect and analyze data on manatees as well the conservation efforts being used.

Additionally, you will have a chance to learn more about the ecosystem they depend on in the springs and rivers.  If you register prior to the end of January you will receive $20 off the registration fee!  Want to bring along a student?  We do welcome a few students as well as we feel their input is also valuable in learning unique ways to incorporate engaging topics into the classroom in a way that aligns with state standards.

You can register at the following link on our website: https://www.authenticexplorationmatters.com/discovery-day

This week the Resource Roundup is focusing on ways to connect students to the world of STEAM using a growth mindset and why doing so is important.  As educators you naturally strive to encourage your students to believe in themselves as you help them improve their skills and knowledge so that they can learn, adapt, and succeed.  Using a growth mindset framework helps students embrace challenges, learn from mistakes, develop a deeper love of learning, elevate problem solving skills and more!  Connect students to opportunities that can help them become the change makers we need.

  • Participate in The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation program.  Uncover how activities such as origami folding, and PBL can be used.

  • Dive deep into the science of intelligence and its development.

  • Explore how strategies are being used to unlock AI’s potential via a growth mindset.

  • Engage students in engineering activities that connect solutions to potential problems.

  • Create a zentangle art project and more!

Looking for resource aligned with a different topics?  Simply reach out and we will see how we can assist you!
