Summer greetings from the team at Authentic Exploration Matters(AEM). We are excited to gather with attendees at our upcoming July 6 Leading Light educator event as we kayak to witness the bioluminescence in the Indian River Lagoon! Our Leading Light meet-ups are a chance to meet other educators, enjoy time together, and build a strong teacher community. If you are looking for some PD opportunities, check out our Discovery Day workshops on our website. While there, you can also uncover links to our resources, blog, and more. We are here to not only support the education community but to help uplift teachers through experiences that can be translated into meaningful classroom lessons.
This week we will explore AEM Education Ambassador, Susan Peoski’s essential topic that centers around the science of gratitude.
She provides ideas that she has used in her teaching experiences. Then connect with additional resources that can assist you in incorporating the science of gratitude into your classroom and beyond. Check our UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Centers gratitude lessons. Explore how teaching youth about the power of giving and increase gratitude. Join in the Random Acts of Kindness Foundations curriculum opportunities to engage individuals in gratitude and its benefits. Uncover resources from the Shraman Foundation including videos, lesson plans, and additional links that connect gratitude with life skills, and more.
The team at AEM hopes you are also taking time to be grateful for you! Educators are an essential part of creating a successful and empowered future for today’s youth. So, thank you for all you do!
